This series of acrylic paintings by Dano Carver explores two themes – water and restoration.
“Through this series of paintings, I hope to convey the beauty and importance of both water and restoration, and to encourage viewers to think about the delicate balance of life and the power of renewal.”
Water is essential to all life, and as such, it is important that it is preserved for future generations to enjoy. In this series, the artist focus on the beauty and mystery of sea life, including juvenile rock fish and anemones, and the crucial role that water plays in their survival. The work punctuates the importance of preserving this precious resource and to raise awareness about the delicate balance of life in the ocean.
In addition to the theme of water, Dano Carver also explores the concept of restoration. The process involves intentionally distressing the paintings through the use of sharp objects and sandpaper. This destruction is then followed by a process of restoration, where the artist repaints the image and brings it back to life.
“The results of this process always surprise me, as wonderful things happen that I would have never expected. The end result is always more beautiful and vibrant than I could have ever imagined.
Whether you are an art lover or simply someone who appreciates the beauty of nature, I invite you to take a closer look at these works and see the aquatic world in a new and exciting way.
